Your Perception is Equal to Your Reality
Your Perception is Equal to Your Reality is about understanding the truth of the world around us. In Your Perception is Equal to Your Reality, Grand Master Art Mason reveals the secrets of Kosho Ryu philosophy, guiding readers to reshape their lives by understanding the pivotal role of perception. Discover how to harness this profound martial arts wisdom to create a life of clarity, purpose, and resilience.
We live in a world increasingly driven by propaganda, where fearmongering has woven itself into the very fabric of our daily lives. News, media, and even casual conversations are now tinged with messages that push us toward anxiety, suspicion, and uncertainty. The weight of this fear-based narrative is not only exhausting but is shaping the way we see ourselves, others, and our potential.
Now more than ever, we need a fresh lens, a resilient way to interpret the world around us to stay grounded, informed, and focused. It is no longer enough to passively absorb what we are told; we must learn to see beyond appearances, to sift through the narratives, and to develop a perception that serves us, rather than controls us. This is why your perception—your ability to discern truth from fear—becomes equal to your reality.
Your Perception is Equal to Your Reality
Here in Romania, where I have made my home, the culture adheres strongly to timeless values, principles, and customs that Western cultures have increasingly abandoned. Romanian people cherish a legacy built on family, faith, and resilience—values that stand as a bulwark against fear and manipulation. These are the values of the old world, where honesty, integrity, and respect aren’t just ideals but guiding principles of daily life. They are the antidotes to today’s media-driven chaos and a testament that there is a way to live authentically, despite the turmoil surrounding us.
Yet, regardless of where you are or what cultural shifts have affected your surroundings, you don’t need to suffer because of this abandonment. You can reclaim your inner stability and clarity. Through the ancient wisdom of Kosho Ryu philosophy, you can cultivate a perspective that empowers rather than disempowers. This is not about merely surviving in these times—it’s about thriving by choosing to see the world with a discerning eye and a steady heart.
Your Perception is Equal to Your Reality is more than a book; it’s a guide to embracing this strength, clarity, and resilience within yourself. It teaches you that even in a world designed to make you doubt and fear, you have the power to define your reality based on values that uplift, not undermine, your spirit.

Deep Dive into Your Perception is Equal to Your Reality
The phrase Your Perception is Equal to Your Reality has been part of my understanding of Kosho Ryu philosophy for over two decades. I believed I fully grasped its depth until, in 2018, a conversation with a Romanian neighbor deepened my understanding. We were discussing “communism” and one of the reasons I had no desire to return to Canada. He told me, “Well, Art, it was not really all that bad, but I would die before going back to those days.”
This simple, yet profound statement revealed everything. Our perception shapes how we endure, adapt to, and ultimately survive our reality. This eBook was also inspired by “Man's Search for Meaning”, written by Viktor Frankl in 1946. And is truly part of the path of the Martial Arts Warrior.
